The University: Established in 1890, North Dakota State University (NDSU) is located in Fargo, North Dakota. An accredited university, NDSU is one of two research institutions in the state and is a leader in the agricultural, scientific, technical, and technological areas.
Intensive English Language Program: Study English for five weeks in the summer or for sixteen weeks in the Fall and Spring. The English program offers small classes for students who are at intermediate or advanced levels of English. Students live on campus in residence halls. Advanced students may take one or two regular classes.
Programs of Study: Undergraduate and graduate degrees are offered in over 100 majors, including these popular majors:

Admission: Prospective students should have strong academic credentials, required TOEFL score of 193 (computer test) or 525 (paper test), and adequate financial resources. Conditional admission is given to students whose TOEFL scores are below the required score.
Campus: More than 11,500 students attend NDSU, 500 of those are international students from over 50 different countries. The campus has its own newspaper, radio station, campus store, and post office. The FargoDome brings top entertainers and sports events to the campus.
Housing and Food: A variety of single student residence halls and married student housing is available on campus. All have some cooking facilities available. Off campus housing is relatively easy to obtain. The campus has three dining centers, which offer a variety of meal plans.
Computer facilities: Computer clusters for student use are located across campus with more computers available in the Computer Technology Center. Residence hall rooms are wired for telephones and data transmission. Students have access to the Internet for e-mail and the World Wide Web. Advanced computing systems are available for students in technical majors like computer science and engineering.
Recreation: The Bison Sports Arena on campus includes a swimming pool, running track, weight room, and basketball and racquetball courts. The Memorial Union has an amphitheater, art gallery, exercise studio, video games, bowling alley, billiards, and relaxing and eating areas. Students can attend athletic competitions such as football, basketball, baseball, soccer, and wrestling on campus.
Activities: Students can join in any of the 200 varied organizations on campus, such as the Badminton Club, Engineering Society, or Concert Band. The International Student Association and many cultural associations also provide activities for students.
City: The Fargo metropolitan area has a population of 175,000 in a relatively safe, secure, and clean environment. Fargo has a high quality education system, complete medical system, strong business environment, entertainment and cultural activities, and excellent parks, golf courses, and other public facilities. The nearest large cities, Minneapolis, Minnesota and Winnipeg, Canada, are only a four-hour drive away.
